The visa
  • Scandinavia, Southeast Asia, and Western Europe:get a free 15-day Visa.  If you leave the country after or during this Visa you may be asked to wait 30 days before re-entering, in this instance, you would be better to get the 3-month multiple entry Visa online (at least 3 working days before your flight).
  •  The United States, Canada, and Australia can apply for visa on arrival. The cost is about $45 USD for a 30-day single entry visa.
  • Most visitors to Cambodia require a one-month tourist visa (US$30).
  • Citizens of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Sudan need to make advance arrangement.
  • Passport holders from Asean member countries do not require a visa to visit Cambodia.
  • For visitors continuing to Vietnam, one-month single-entry visas cost US$55 and take two days in Phnom Penh, or just one day via the Vietnamese consulate in Sihanoukville.
  •  It costs US$45 for one month (for both tourist and business visas)to extend the visa.
Transportation
  • Grab, taxi and cyclo(three-wheel vehicle)
  • Coaches are comfortable but city buses are not.
  • Trains are slow and outdated
  • Motorbikes are everywhere
  • Don’t ever pay the tuk-tuk drivers before you depart.
Some notes
  1.  Exchange money at jewelry shops for a better rate
  2. Don’t need to tip here.
  3. Learn100 basic Vietnamese phrases that locals are pleased to hear you attempting their language so will help you out.
  4. Avoid using your mobile phone near busy streets.
  5. Hold your camera securely when taking photos by the road.
  6.  Try Vietnamese coffee is strong but super tasty
  7. Don’t have a haircut, massage and beauty treatment before your trip. Do all of them here.

Củ Chi Tunnels

Cu Chi Tunnels are an extensive tunnel network that during the war, stretched for more than 250 kilometers, allowing VC troops to operate and communicate in the area surrounding Ho Chi Minh City.

Two short sections of the network can be visited with a guide who will take you down into the narrow unlit confines, which definitely are not for claustrophobia sufferers. You will literally be crawling on your hands and knees and some points. You can access the tunnels at either Ben Dinh village (the more popular choice) or Ben Duoc village.
