Life in the Mekong Delta is animated and highlighted with ships, boats continuous operation …Come here, you should not hurry, slowly to feel the pace of life in this place. Boats carrying goods are busy, from home to market and vice versa. A most familiar picture here, ships are carrying tourists to visit the life of people here. I am spending a few days in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. I lived in Can Tho city, the largest city center in the area. The city is relatively large with a population of about 1.2 million people but still feels bustling like a miniature Saigon, takes three hours to drive.

There are two parts in Can Tho that I find most interesting
Floating market

The first is the riverbank, the focus of tourist activities, boats close together to support the travelers when they need it. Hotels and markets fill the streets at night. The special thing here is when you step out of the hotel, you will receive an offer for a boat trip.

Don't worry, because these are trusted offers from decent tours that are kind people. If you don't care, you won't get in trouble - but chances are you'll get a puzzled look. What is your purpose here?
I refused. Although a boat tour made me excited, I decided to explore the rivers, canals and the lives of people in the Mekong Delta in a different way.

This brings me to the second interesting thing of Can Tho - the outskirts of the city have also grown
The standard itinerary for foreign tourists is to leave the central river bank in Can Tho early in the morning so that visitors can see the surrounding scenery in this river country. Catch the sunrise and then head to the famous markets.
Especially with floating markets on the river
The boat exits the main river and enters several smaller canal. The trip usually takes about 3 hours

Although there were no problems during this trip, I still chose my own option
When I look at a map, I imagine that I can really walk all the places the boat goes. What I'm saying is not on the water, but I want to see life on land
I wonder if I made a mistake when I went to the floating market, an hour's walk from the center of Can Tho. The name should have given me a clue that sailing would be a better idea
People and animals on the shore
On the shore, I only see barges and ships in the middle of the river, the trading activities of the people here I could not see.
There are only a few points where I can only stand near the water and look. I thought to myself that shore activities are not as lively as underwater ones

bike tour in village[/caption]
I started to get bored but still did not give up. I moved on to phase two of my plan and began to turn into a small road that ran along a smaller canal
Unexpectedly this is what I'm looking for. The houses are built close to the edge - some are made of simple wood, some are made of bricks. The canoes are attached to the trunks of trees growing close to the canal. The fruit dangled from the tree, birds flying back and forth
Children running past me and having motorbikes all had a friendly smile on me
This is not a busy road, but here I clearly see their daily activities

I also see the back of houses and some side roads leading to other villages. Looking into the backyard I saw dogs, chickens, pigs and cats. The picture gives me a sense of peace and simplicity when I am here. It took me some time to cross the bridge to cross the canal. All are linked together and there are many interesting things to see. I know I will ignore these images when traveling by boat and if they can be seen, they are also separated images.
